****CONGRATULATIONS TO JAMIE **** After 7 years of part time study along with his full time job, martial arts instruction and raising a family, Jamie has managed to achieve his DEGREE OF BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING with HONOURS. WELL DONE JAMIE
As a director of Coastal Car and Leisure i have to praise all of our staff and mechanics for the hard work that they put in everyday keeping up with fast moving developments in the motor industry, this is especially true now that we have made a decision to look forward and specialise in hybrid and electrical vehicle diagnosis and repair. We have Tyler and his new assistant Charlie carrying out servicing and repairs daily , Rob and Grant about to embark on a week long training course, studying the latest in diesel emissions diagnosis and repairs. Myself and Jamie working on the hybrid and ev diagnosis as well as other electrical problems that people may be having, and finally Simon and Clair who are about to go away for training to ensure that they can give the right information to those owners of of EV and Hybrid vehicles that we are hoping to see, and i must not forget Harry and Evie who work extremely hard meeting and greeting customers to the garage. So well done Jamie, i was proud to see my son graduate on Saturday, but also a big thank you to all of the team who pull together when times get tough and are forever looking forward to the next challenge. Professional DPF cleaning carried out on the premises, we strip out your dpf and clean it, we check everything is ok and then refit it and test and reset any parameters. TRADE cleaning also carried out, just drop us of your dpf and pick it up the next day.
Learn MoreWe can carry out all necessary work to keep your aircon in tiptop condition. The condition of your air conditioning system can have a direct effect on your fuel economy. A quote from the RAC : Should i use my aircon in the winter? In a word, absolutely. In fact consider it an essential part of car maintenance that could directly save you money on repair work further down the line. First and foremost using warm air from the system in winter is a great way to demist the windows. The air coming out of the vents is dry, so the air-con acts as a dehumidifier. An air-con system is much like the human body – if not used for long periods it can seize up, plus circulation suffers. The air-con is filled with a refrigerant and some oil, and it pays to keep that liquid flowing and the components of the system lubricated. Using quick fix ac top up cans is not the way to do it if you want your system to work properly. To ensure you protect your car, and get the aircon working efficiently don't waste your money on these so called quick fix systems. Firstly we check to see how much if any refrigerant is missing from the system, and the temperature it is operating at, this is important because if you just top it up or regas it and it has leaks it is not only a waste of money to put more refrigerant in, but the escaping refrigerant is also damaging to the environment. The system then needs to be drained of any refrigerant which is then filtered through our machines to take out water droplets and pollutants, old lubricant etc. that over time corrode the system. After cleaning, the system is vacuum tested for 30 mins to take out any remaining moisture and to create a situation where no air is in the system at the same time as checking for any smaller leaks. If leaks are detected we have a number of environmentally friendly ways to quickly check and locate them. (Nitrogen mixed gas can be used to pressurise the system along with dyes visible under ultraviolet light) Once all is good, the system is recharged with the correct amount of new lubricant and refrigerant and then tested to ensure that it works the way it was designed to. HINT TO SAVE YOU MONEY. OFTEN DURING THE QUIETER WINTER MONTHS, WE OFFER DISCOUNTS FOR AIRCON WORK. THIS IS BECAUSE LIKE THE AIRCON IN YOUR CAR, IT IS BETTER FOR OUR MACHINES TO BE WORKING THAN SITTING WAITING FOR THE SPRING WHEN THEY ARE THEN WORKING FLAT OUT ALL THROUGH THE WARMER PERIOD. (Also meaning a longer wait for a booking when you most need your air con to be working) If you have any enquiries please use the contact form attached and somebody will get back to you.
